Matt Palmer, LMGI
Location Manager. Photographer. Documentary Filmmaker

Matt has worked in location management since 1993 when he started as a location scout on “Legends of the Fall”. Matt is a member of the Location Managers Guild International, and has been nominated for four LMGI Awards including: 2015 Outstanding Period Locations for a TV Series Fargo Year Two, 2021 for Outstanding Locations in a TV Serial, Anthology, or Limited Series for Stephen King’s “The Stand”, 2022 Outstanding Locations in a TV Serial, Anthology, or Limited Series for Under the Banner of Heaven, and 2022 Outstanding Period Locations for a TV series for Pachinko. Matt was elected to the Board of Directors of the LMGI in 2016, and served until fall of 2019. In 2021 Matt was accepted as a member of the Television Academy.
Matt has also produced and directed drama and documentary films. In 1999/2000 he worked as the Location Manager, and Second Unit Director on the Nickelodeon series "Caitlin's Way" and directed two episodes in the show's second season. His documentary projects include the two hour broadcast documentary on the Alberta Oil Sands "Pay Dirt" broadcast on CBC, the National Film Board's first National web documentary series "GDP" (26 short films), and his feature documentary “Letters From Litein” screened theatrically in Canada.
Matt is a life long photographer, who has a passion for telling story through dynamic images.
